Founded by CA Madhuri and CA Bhanurekha (MBA, IIM Lucknow), our journey began with a simple yet powerful realisation: the sarees we grew up loving—woven in the heart of our hometown, the silk weaving hub of India—were becoming increasingly unaffordable for the very people that were meant to celebrate them. With over 30 years of family experience in auditing the silk industry, we’ve seen the numbers up close. Despite the grandeur of showroom displays, only a small share of the final price ever reached the weavers. Retail markups and middlemen inflated costs and diluted authenticity, while imitations disguised as semi-silk or silk lookalikes further eroded customer trust. This disconnect between craft and customer sparked a calling in us: to rewrite the silk saree story.
